A Construction law firm, through and through.
We focus our practice primarily on the construction and government contracts industries. We represent local, regional, and international construction companies, design professionals, owners, municipalities, public entities, and regional governments in all phases of construction and government contracting, including contract formation, administration, and dispute resolution.
We recognize the success of our business has always depended upon our clients’ satisfaction with our services and their willingness to return to us for legal advice and assistance as they may require.
The nature of our practice has shaped our philosophy of service. Our clients count on us not just to provide excellent legal services, but also to manage their legal services’ needs. They have taught us to be highly responsive, prompt, and diligent, yet to assure that costs are controlled and effective. We believe that philosophy is proven in demonstrated results.

I am a frequent speaker to the industry and the Oregon Bar and contributing author of Construction Law in Oregon as well as a past Chairperson of Oregon State Bar Construction Law Section.

ASSOCIATE
I am an experienced construction and real estate attorney, including litigation and transactional matters. I have experience working on complex projects, representing public and private owners, developers, builders, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and sureties.
My experience enables me to handle the complete spectrum of issues arising before, during, and after project completion. My practice includes contract formation and performance, construction claims and litigation, government contracts and projects, bid disputes, insurance issues, delay claims, and defect matters.
Josh Copeland
I have represented general contractors and subcontractors for several years, including three years as General Counsel for a commercial general contractor in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
While serving as General Counsel, I worked intimately with project teams on day-to-day operations gaining invaluable first-hand experience in how a commercial general contractor approaches bidding on public and private projects, management of a project , and relationships with owners, design professionals, and subcontractors. I have worked on public and private projects ranging from processing and extraction facilities for medicinal cannabis, police stations, office buildings, veterinary clinics, senior citizen activity centers, and school buildings — including gyms serving double duty as FEMA rated storm shelters for violent tornadic storms. Because of this experience, I understand the life cycle of a construction project and the respective goals of each party — whether they be an owner, design professional, general contractor, or subcontractor/supplier — and how these respective goals affect each party’s role in a project achieving completion.
